Executing a Transaction Using Multisig

Last updated: April 17, 2025

Learn all about using multisig in Franklin

Unlike other crypto payments applications, Franklin does not require that a multisig approve every action within the application. When a multisig is connected to Franklin, it is responsible only for token approvals and depositing into the Treasury Smart Contract.

Each multisig signer is also an Administrator within Franklin. When a multisig action is initiated, the other signers receive notifications within the application indicating there is a pending action they need to complete.

Please be advised that only one multisig transaction can be executed at a time. When an admin initiates a multisig transaction, the other admins must sign & execute the transaction before another multisig transaction can be initiated. Non-multisig transactions can be executed at will.
